Success at Premier’s Awards

We were thrilled to see three KCA researchers recognised for their work at the recent CINSW Premier’s Awards for Outstanding Cancer Research.

The top accolade, Outstanding Cancer Researcher of the Year, went to Professor Michelle Haber AM, Executive Director of Children’s Cancer Institute, for her work on drug discovery and personalised medicine for children with cancer.

Dr Claire Wakefield was awarded Outstanding Cancer Research Fellow of the Year, for her research into managing the impact of paediatric cancer on families, while Ursula Sansom-Daly was awarded the 'Rising Star' PhD Award for her pioneering research and development of novel tools in the field of adolescent and young adult psycho-oncology.

Congratulations to Prof Michelle Haber (centre), Ursula Sansom-Daly (left) and Dr Claire Wakefield.
